FirstBank Hires Corporate Commercial Relationship Manager
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 30, 2018) — John Sharp, an experienced banker and 30-year Middle Tennessee resident, has joined FirstBank as a corporate commercial relationship manager. In his new role, Sharp will work with existing business customers and help develop new relationships in the Nashville business community.
“With 35 years of banking experience, John embodies FirstBank’s commitment to the community and our customers,” said Jim Mosby, senior vice president. “He comes to this position with a comprehensive banking background and he will be a great asset to our Nashville team.”
Prior to joining FirstBank, Sharp was vice president, global trade officer and vice president, commercial real estate for Fifth Third Bank. He previously served as senior vice president at Union Planters National Bank in Nashville, and vice president at First American National Bank. Prior to his work in banking, Sharp served in combat as a Naval Intelligence Officer during the first Gulf War.
Sharp is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in management and technology, and he later received a Master of Business Administration with a Financial Economics focus from Middle Tennessee State University. Sharp regularly attends Belmont Church, enjoys home restoration and ballet, and is married with six children.
