Justin Harwell Named FirstBank City President

DECEMBER 04, 2017

Lincoln County native and industry veteran Justin Harwell has been named the new Fayetteville City President for FirstBank.

“Justin will be a tremendous asset as we expand our customer base in Fayetteville,” said Troy Martin, FirstBank’s South Central Tennessee Area President who oversees operations in Tullahoma, Manchester, Shelbyville, Lynchburg, Decherd and Fayetteville. “He has strong ties to the community and a well-rounded banking background that fit perfectly with FirstBank’s emphasis on local decision-making.”

Harwell comes to FirstBank with 12 years of financial services experience, including positions with an agriculture-focused lender and most recently at a community bank.

“FirstBank is an exceptional organization that empowers local bankers who understand their communities to make decisions and to build and maintain local relationships with their customers,” Harwell said. “I am thrilled for the opportunity to work with such a solid organization and look forward to playing a role in FirstBank’s continued success while continuing to be an integral part of my hometown community.”

Harwell is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in agribusiness. He also attended the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Harwell is actively involved in the Lincoln County community, serving as a past director and treasurer of the Fayetteville–Lincoln County Public Library, a former director of the Falcon Club, and a current member of the Lincoln Health System Foundation board of directors.
